Top 10 Steam games to look for during the summer sale..

Thought it would be a great idea to start a top 10 best games you've played that are available on Steam. Then I thought about it and thought there should also be a top dark horse list of games available on Steam. Dark Horse games typically are great but have something that might irk someone. Like the original GRID's lack of multiplayer due to the servers being shut down. That way people can recommend games to others for tomorrow's Steam sale.


Here's my little awesome game list.

The Witcher 2. Heck both Witcher games are good.
Tomb Raider. Game is crack
Dark Souls Ready to Die Edition. You will die and come back and love it.
Saint's Row the Third. Silly fun!
Civilization V with all of the expansion packs. If you play it without the last 2 expansions you deserve to be quartered.
Torchlight II
Sleeping Dogs
XCOM Enemy Unknown
Dungeon Defenders
Trine series
Dust: An Elysian Tail. It deserves to be here and I can't kick Trine series.


Dark Horse list:

Rising Storm / Red Orchestra 2. Banzai charge is the shiznit! Realism like this isn't for the CoD crowd.
The Secret World. Puzzle solving isn't for everyone. Conspiracy theories are though!
Borderlands 2 (Only if you have friends to play with and get Tiny Tina's DLC.)
GRID. No multiplayer servers so learn to Tunngle.
Mount and Band Warband. Fire and Sword also. Not the best graphics but the best game play! Been in top 20 most played on Steam list forever!
Sniper Elite V2. So much fun! Make your buddy play with you. :)
Steel Storm: Burning Retribution Fun little game!
Jamestown Too much shooting fun! Best lil shump on Steam?
Renegade OPS. Because I like keeping it old school.
The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing. Better than Diablo 3 or Path of Exile single player! Does the multiplayer ever stop crashing?
Bastion. 11. Shoot me. :)

I went ahead and got Mortal Kombat earlier this week for $22 from GMG. Usually the only games that don't see discounts on these steam sales are games that are <1 month old or so.
 
Not sure why you think Brave New World would be in the sale, but you can definitely expect Civ V, G&K and all the other DLC be on a good sale to push the sales of BNW.

AC Revelations would be great, particularly if they sell the Gold version cheap. I still need to go back and finish up Brotherhood as I'm close to done but got burned out on the series after burning through them in rapid fashion.
 
I should have also added:

Dishonored

to my original list.

Looks like they might sell it as a voter's choice today for as little as $10 and change.

That would be the deal of the day, I think.
