Tone down huge low frequencies in recordings?

I just returned from EDC Vegas and took a bunch of video from my phone. But (quite obviously) everything there has huge bumping bass and low frequencies. My phone didn't seem to capture the other frequencies very well (or covered the higher ones up), is there a way to take the raw footage and tone down the frequency to be able to have it sound better or any similar treatment to get similar results?

Thanks in advance to any advice.

It's called an equalizer (or subsonic filter) and yes it is possible.

However if what I think happened is true, your recordings are ruined due to overdrive. Your phones dynamic range was exceeded resulting in a heavy distortion every time the bass slams.

Yeah I know how to use an EQ but that didn't really do much good, was hoping there might be a lesser known option that i had :/
