Due to space constraints, it looks like the time to decide on an LCD monitor is coming soon. The budget: Around the $1,500-$1,700 range I think is what I saved up for a new monitor.
Seeing that I demand great color reproduction, but also want a good amount of screen real estate, I've been looking at a few monitors and whatever else you may have to suggest.
I couldn't find a store that had these on display, so seeing these in person are impossible right now:
LaCie 321 LCD Monitor
EIZO ColorEdge 19" CG19 (I can get a free hood)
Or maybe even EIZO'S widescreen S2410W-BK
The CG19 seems to not have much resolution (1280 x 1024) but the widescreen one won't compare with color reproduction, but I just don't know by how much. The LaCie 321 may be my best investment, giving a good balance of the two.
