TMobile note 9 pre order deal

TMobile is offering up to 500$ for trade in for older s7 Samsung phones and up. 24 month bill credits but that will make a note 9 only 500$ after 2 years. Thinking of jumping on this for the wife. She has an aging s7 edge which could stand an upgrade. As much as I dislike Samsung she would love the note 9 and I could probably sell her s7 edge for 150-175$ max thus making the trade in a much better deal.
