Does anyone have experience with this...

I am going to bring my mother-in Law on to my t-mobile account. They have a promo going to get a free Iphone XR with new line activation(which a port in should count) via 24 month bill credits. She already has a Honor SE which she is used too. I was thinking to offset my One Plus 7 Pro, I can sell the XR to a T-Mobile user correct? T-mobile does not have any restrictions other than its SIM locked till its paid for...

If anyone has done this recently lmk. I might as well take advantage of this as I don't plan to leave or change my t-mobile plan anytime soon.

If you can find someone willing to buy a financed phone that isn't paid off, it should work (it does for AT&T at least).

That doesn't make sense. It says the opposite here

You can always pay off your EIP early. You will continue to receive the monthly promotional bill credit for the length of the original EIP agreement

Ahh okay. AT&T “may” stop credits if you pay of the promotional device early. In my experience they DID stop them (and I wasn’t even trying to sell it) . Verizon says the agreement must be active the full 24 months or the credits will stop.
