current system:
intel i5-4670k @ 4.5 (cant get any higher)
Shit Asrock mobo since my asus died
Xfx vega 56
5760x1080@144hz + 2560x1080@75hz.
1tb SSD with 4tb 7200.
games I play: Destiny 2, FFXIV, WoW, and occasionally Dab into other stuff.

I want to buy a Ryzen 3600, Gigabyte b450 pro Wifi board. Ill need another 16gb of ram and a 240m Corsair cooler paired with it and OC'd as much as i can.

I mean, are we talking like 10 fps jump in games? No idea where the ryzen 3600 can clock too but i heard it can compete pretty closely with intel in the IPC department. The upgrade itch is coming. I might scoop up a 5700xt within the next few months once its had some time to settle in.

Probably better off upgrading your graphics card for more fps in games. Nice set up though looks sweet.

I will be getting a 1080ti/2080/AMD 5700xt in the next few months. my CPU is just dying to be retired currently though lol.

you's probably see a decent max fps bump but i'd bet your minimums would come way up and then more with a new gpu.

There are not many reviews of the 3600 yet but I gather it performs roughly the same as the 8700k.

I went from a xeon 4770 equivalent to a r7 1700x a while back and was a pretty lateral move on a 980ti, I would think the jump from that to zen 2 would be pretty good. There is a guide floating around these forums that shows the vrm of the current am4 boards, so you should be able to find a quality 4xx series board. I would guess that there will need to be a few rounds of patching to be up to x570 level.

If OCing a lot the MSI B450 Pro Carbon has better VRM than the Gigabyte and the last time I shopped they were similarly priced. IIRC it has the best VRM on B450.
