Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2005/6 problem with 81.82

I have a problem with the 81.82 drivers and Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2005/2006. The first whole is fine, but after two or three it is like the game runs incredibly slowly. Its not just a slide show, that would be an improvement. Its almost locked up slow. I revert to the 78.01, and everything is fine.

Can anyone confirm this on their system?
 
Compte you should be using the 81.84 drivers now, they are available from http://www.nzone.com/ and are far in advance of the 81.82's. They may help if it's not a game bug.

I tried those, same problem. I think it might have a problem with the game engine and hyperthreaded drivers.
 
I get hard freezes in tw06 with my 7800gtx and 81.82's. Haven't had time to try different drivers, but it is something I will definitely try when I get a chance. Typical EA game though, I always seem to have a problem with them no matter what my setup is. And ofcourse it doesn't have any decent higher resolution support or take full advantage of pc hardware. For the amount of money ea is making it really frustrats me they don't take the time to make this a pc game, instead of a console port. :mad:
 
I have a different problem with tiger 06 . it crashes to the desktop all the time . it only does it on a load screen or when you finish a level , tourney etc . i have tried running my processor at stock speed and it doesnt help at all . every other game i play is stable so it almost has to be a problem with the game itself .

systems specs are
X2 4200+ running @ 2.8
7800 GTX
1 gig of Ballistix PC 4000
ets
 
i have the 81.87 driver version . i will try the 81.85 and see what happens .
