So I got my 7980x and Gigabyte TRX50 Motherboard. I was not paying attention to the RAM that the system needed. I ASSumed that I could drop my DDR5 memory from my current build and transfer it to my new system like I did with my old TR build (3970x)

NOPE. You need DDR5-RDIMMS.

So researching the RDIMMS I came across two types:
This: (Corsair Black DDR5-6000 RDIMM)
And This: (GSKILL Zeta R5 Neo DDR5-6000)

Advice?

Ordered the Corsair. Nice thing was I had a $100 gift card in there. SO the total order came to $537 and some change.

Is this an upgrade from the your current build in your sig? Or another second build to do more pro work? Tell us how it performs compared to your current build!

This is going to be my primary build. I do a ton of video crunching such as After Effects and some 3d objects in for VRay for Autodesk 3DS stuff for my old company in Seattle that will pay for this new setup over the next six months. Plus it's kinda a dream to have a 64 core system as well for personal satisfaction.

Cool. Post some benchmarks when it is ready. Yeah, 64 core system is a dream.

RAM came in today. Will put together next week.

Unfortunately work this week is a busy time of year. I will be building the machine on Saturday though.

It is not my system and I can't wait. Is overclocking an option? Or you can't overclock because your company is paying for this?

BTW, may I ask what the intent of this is?

I worked for an advertising in Seattle (and became good friends with my boss as well) so I do some V-ray/3DS rendering and a bunch of video crunching converting digital video with upscaling.

I went a little overboard with the CPU as a 32 core version would have sufficed for my workflow. But hey, this is [H] and decided to go balls deep and have fun.

The CPU is mine. I just don’t know how hard I’ll go with the over clocking. My main concern is stability and get a good speed across all cores.

Ugh...got called into work because we had some AV issues at our church and our secondary ISP decided to go down as well and we need that for services which we stream on XMas eve becasuse our main ISP (Spectrum Ethernet) has been spotty because of the flooding we had during Helene. Even though I am on vacation for the next two weeks I am working on Monday becasue I drew the short straw to proctor exams because of the all the sick kids we've out during midterms. Then Xmas Eve/Day obviously. Thursday, I promise.

What is the load? Do something math heavy like p95 for 10 minutes and tell the temps. You have enterprise class parts so they should be happy to take the abuse, but I feel like your AIO is gonna struggle on that load.
