Thoughts on Better Monitor than 2015 55" JS9000

Would love to hear peoples thoughts as to what is better than the Samsung JS9000 55"

I have been doing a lot more FPS and it would be great to have lower input lag, better colors and be able to take advantage of my 2080ti to its maximum potential. For me 55" seems to be the sweetspot. I do not think I want to go larger and definitely do not want to go smaller.

Any thoughts?

One of the newer Samsung Q or NU series sets would seem to be the perfect replacement. Lower input lag than the 2015 sets, 120Hz at 1440 support, FreeSync, and the 55" is the smallest size that isn't gimped so are the best for most gamers.

Much cheaper than the JS9000 was at the time, too.

I'll make the case for waiting until next year to get that HDMI 2.1 spec, unless you're okay with going OLED, which is a whole debate on it's own..

Otherwise yeah, samsung's VRR sets eliminate input lag almost completely with VRR on and have some cool new goodies like FALD/X-Wide Viewing Angle/BFI and low latency frame interpolation.

Of course, if you just want pure raw unfiltered image quality, go for LG OLED, it already has HDMI 2.1 ( which means future compatibility with HDMI 2.1 GPUs, which the 2080ti is not).
It's got even lower input lag than the samsung, viewing angles for days, true blacks, a better UI ( WebOS is legitimately great ), an air mouse remote, but doesn't have the convenience of the One Connect Box, the No-Gap Wall Mount ( if you want to wallmount, High end QLEDs look absolutely dapper with it and to get the OLED equivalent you need to drop like 6 grand ) and you have to take preventative measures or deal with potential burn in.

Real good input. Too bad there's no gsync. I'm down for the waiting game.
