this may seem a strange request but: a win98 compatible pci network card?

i'm sure that it'd be fine... if it says its compatible it probably comes with a CD that has 98 drivers on it...

anything with the rtl8139 chip on it will work just fine....

yep... i keep an intel etherpro on my workbench because the network drivers are built into 98se
