This is a balls to the wall system... but not asinine

Also, I meant what I said about college not being intense. If you saw what I consider intense, you'd probably cringe. If your definition of "intense" means staying up three days straight, cramming for an exam, you're boring me to death. That's not intense. If that kind of "action" gives someone an adrenaline rush, they need to get out more.

So what is your idea of intense? Forcing [H] readers to wade through your interminable gasconade of how smart you are to look for a tidbit of actual hardware related information? :p

gj on wasting alot of people's time. and i personally believe your just trying to save your ass now.
okay so we've determined this to be a BS topic with a BS poster.

id greatly enjoy this topic being locked or better yet deleted.

much agreed.

college can be a positive or negative experience, at any school, and it generally depends on how the student utilizes it. There is no IQ requirement for MIT, and other schools don't anticipate an IQ of 106.

IQ isn't much of a measurement of anything particularly pertinent, mine may be high, but I'm not going to discuss it or brag about it because it means little when not in conjunction with achievement tests. What's more, as you age IQ becomes less relevant. Newer tests have tried to account for or amend this problem, but to my knowledge there's still some concern about validity once someone reaches their upper teens (18+ and particularly as they near 20).

Sojuuk, you hit the nail on the head. I'm trying to save my ass. Yeah. That's it.
That is what you wanted to hear, right?

Bueller? Bueller?

Save it from what? A few guys on the internet? Oh noess! My megahurtz have b33n stol3d!

Still, you have an interesting way of thinking. You'd be a good forensic investigator. Question everything. Good way to look at life in general and an even better way to go about buying a car.

"What you have given me, for free I might add, is a good idea of what I'm up against in terms of competition."

Competition? LOL what competition? How are we competing?

You have a generator because "nobody likes to restart a render"? I don't know what kind of rendering you do, but to restart anything I render takes 2 mins.

Close thread. Please.

MisterDNA, even if you aren't so full of shit that your eyes are brown your attitude will ensure you have a place in the world. You'll find yourself comfortably situated in the unemployment line.

brownout protection capacitor bank (holds system at full load long enough to throttle everything back within UPS capacity with return to full power upon successful start of generator

I'm curious as to how that would work. Last time I checked capacitors only held DC charge.. And if you are running above UPS capacity you can’t be talking about adding them in with your ups batteries, because you’re still above what the inverter would be rated to.

Wow. Does this thread have anything to do with SMP or is it just MisterDNA gloating about his IQ and how he doesn't need college to become a badass in life?

If it's the latter: STFU, go fucking brag about it some place else. Cause really, no one gives a shit how high your IQ is.

If its the former: Dual Opteron 250 and misc.

some people are amazing these days.

if you don't like it... don't carp about it, go somewhere else. i assure you that very few people are not interested in hearing that one person doesn't like it. and don't yell at me either, cuz i really don't care.

solution: make your own inverter.

Woudl be do-able but a pain in the ass.It would need VERY good voltage/frequency regulation to work. Decent ups's are very pickey about power. I know for a fact none of mine will runn off a step aproximated or generated wavetype. They ONLY like pure sine wave inputs. Hell, i've with work i've run ups's on very expensive CAT generators and on occasion they still dont like the power.

you mean that they will not accept a square wave? what happens?

if they just give an error light (but still take the charge) then i say do it with vacuum tubes and relays.

it'd work... just be a bit fragile. when you think about it, you will realize that it is more efficient to build a large amp out of 2 5U4SB's and 4 6L6's then 10 gazillion FET's, resistors, and caps.

They see the square or approximated sine wave and say "wtf is this power?" and immediately switch over to battery.

welllllllll i went through all his old posts and found many that seemed almost as full of shit.

my personal favorite is the one about his laptop security system that upon calling a cell phone # and entering a sequence of #'s the hdd is EMP'd then using the battery power that btw is gone because of the EMP he heats up an explosive under the keyboard that launches tattoo ink and keyboard parts at the theif.

i was wowd by the utter bs there but everyone believed him.

however since he has clearly lied before he will do it again and anything he says in my opinion is unlikely.

i would say however he knows what hes talking about, or atleast enough about it to sound like what he says hes doing is real.

PLEASE MOVE ON

d***. nevermind then.

I remember that one too! haha

it could work... an emp for something that small could be done with little power.

he had a lot of other absurd things in it supposedly, but never posted a pic

Love this quote, gonna put it in my sig... LOL
