This has to be an awful drive. But I'm buying one.

FattyDove Racing SSD.

Screw it, for $21.00 (120gb version, which is sort of useless), the next time people are talking tough about the brand of SSD they use I'll be able to say, "Yeah, well, my SSD is made by Fatty Dove Racing. And it's pink."

P.S. Maybe I'll spring the extra $9.00 and buy the 240gb one. If it doesn't die immediately it might even be useful.

For 30 you should have got the 240...depending on your marital status, at least that would likely fit your pr0n collection, no?

Anyone check the reviews?

"Best SSD ever. 30,000 jiggabytes per nanosecond write speed. I've been using this SSD for over 20 years in my racing laptop without a single failure. Power draw is a little high, needs around 1-2 lbs. of birdseed per day."
"RIGHT AFTER I installed it someone shot it from a treeline isn the parking lot. Fast, but not fast enough to outrun #12 birdshot."

Lol... What users buy after VIEWING this.

ROFL I was looking at that too. I ordered a 240gb, but I can't decide if I'm going to put it in a machine or set it on my shelf.

In either case, do us a favor, please: Open it up and post a shot of the PCB. I have my doubts that ObesePigeon actually manufactured this, but such a low price with 3D MLC flash (grade C? Fell off a truck?) just has me wondering about what's inside.

I'll do it. I was thinking of taking the PCB out and putting an old, almost spent 64GB Samsung 830 PCB back in (so I can set it on my shelf). Photos when it arrives.

I do not keep porn. But I do have an extensive collection of humanist propagation art.

P.S. "Humanist propagation art" is one of my favorite things to slide into a conversation.

I bought a load of 64GB Kingdian SSDs several years ago for like £20 (cheap at the time) a pop. They are still all going. Fine for quick test builds.

I suppose they wanted to use something other than the Humming Bird from ADATA ssds.

The Fatty Dove Racing SSD has arrived!

It's actually nicely packed, nice box, etc. Better than what a Samsung SSD comes in. Unfortunately, I can't find my set of mini-torx bits (I suspect my nephew, who negligently borrows my tools and then swears he doesn't have them), so there won't be pictures until Friday.

FATTY DOVE RACING SSD! Many useless images incoming!

The box - yeah, I got stupid and spent the doughmolians for the 480gb version. Anything smaller was useless.

Micron D9PZV (Part No. MT41K256M16HA-125) 4gb DDR3L DRAM chip. The chip sort of looks cracked in the picture, but it's not.

Unknown TLC 3D NAND package, VS29F04TEME1, people on the web have seen the same chip in TCSunbow drives, which is another unknown SSD company.

Nothing much to say about the drive, really - here's a quick CrystalDiskMark test.

That's ok! This is a completely empty drive, so no idea how it will act when full. But it's good enough for what I will use it for.

Just so everyone understands, I am not posting because I'm recommending this drive, I only bought it because it made me laugh. It's not exceptionally cheap or powerful. If it lasts for a few years I might post about it again.

This is hilarious.

Then again, I bought one of the knock off Creative Labs cards... The brand name on it is "Sound Blessed". Motto is "The best voice in China".
