thinking $300-$350 or less limit. I have the 34inch ASUS ROG ultrawide and it has a large stand and not vesa compatible. so it elimnates some of the desk models I was looking at. besides office desks with cranks or motors I see Husky makes a crank adjustable work desk.

I figured somebody here has to have a setup similar to one of these. Off to look at the work stations thread.

would like to stand part of the time as my back bothers me if I sit for more than a little bit. damn car crash from my youth.

saw one at office depot but it was $1100 no thanks, see them on amazon and ebay and walmart for a lot less.

I switched to a standing desk and it's been pretty good to me honestly. I am finishing up an undergraduate in computer engineering so I do a ton of both typing/coding and writing. What I have found is that I prefer to sit if I am going to be writing pages and pages, but otherwise standing is better for me for typing and such.

Like you, I wasn't willing to drop a $1100 on a desk I wasn't sure I was even going to like so I picked up this one here. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00LNCDGKU/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I got the 60" version and I have a dual monitor stand with 2 28" monitors, egpu box, and a lenovo docking station on it and have plenty of room to do work and such. You can place the crank on either side or remove it and store it if you are not changing positions very often.

The only thing I had to do to it was buy and install a cable tray to keep the wires somewhat tidy and not getting tangled up. I also just put a power strip on the underside too, but really that is your preference.

not sure if my monitor will fit on that. was looking at a different dual level one but I cannot replace the stand on my monitor with a arm, its a propietary mount it looks like. which is pretty wide. guess I will have to measure it, I also don't want it to just fit as it was a pricey monitor and do not want it to take a tumble and smash to bits.
