Last yr i bought a system where the person included a Thermaltake Commander kybd. When plugged into the usb the board lights up but no response from any of the keys. I've checked online and seems to be no drivers for it. Does anyone have an knowledge of this brand of keyboard and how i can get it to work?

What port are you plugging it in to? I've noticed that some keyboards want a usb 1/2 port vs 3 for them to work properly.

Usually thats a sign that your cable is bad/incompatible. The kb is getting power, so the lights and ic power up, but it's unable to communicate with the PC for some reason.

It could also be drivers, but most kbs I've used are plug-and-play (except for the leds, which are extra anyway).
