I don't have a middle name...because where I come from we generally don't....but I like free games and someone I know is on a phenom x2 or x4 or something.

Directron sounds like a decepticon. :D

AMD won me in the days their CPUs were on top. Right now, it's because of their awesome value in helping people build great lower budget PCs. I'm hoping for a return to the top.

Haven't owned an AMD processor since the Socket-A Athlon, but boy did I love them for affordability and performance!

Why AMD? Bang for your buck, that is all. I can spend a heck of a lot less, and buy a processor that will give me greater performance than the blue guys.

I'll admit, I have strayed in the past, but always returned to AMD for my processors, and now video cards as well.

When you're building to a budget for a gaming rig you'd be absolutely nuts to not give AMD very serious consideration.

I love AMD because they have products that I can afford! They own ATI which I personally favor over Nvidia. Plus the AMD logo is green! (I like green)

AMD has produced great CPUs and manages to keep Intel in check most of the time. That's enough for me!

I'm an old embittered AMD-fanboi--a prisoner of mid-life with gruesome job prospects who's just looking for a lively spark in the tech-wilderness. I'm hoping that super-charged multi-core Phenoms are going to have more staying power than the Viagra did.

ALways been a fan of amd. that and the fact of backwards compatibility for people who dont like to get rid of good motherboards is a plus

AMD was my first processor and was great...
And for fun of it: middle name: Patrick

Great cpu's for the price. Currently using a x4 965 in my cpu and x4 955 in my wife's. Certainly wouldn't mind x6 there instead though:)

AMD has always been my favorite since I 4 built my first pc with the AMD64 processor. The only OS I could install at the time was windows xp x64 edition which was horribly supported and extremely tough to track down the correct/working drivers. It was a great learning experience though and the processors was a beast!

I always loved AMD, have it since K6, and then K6-2, K6-3, Athlon, Athlon XP, Athlon 64, waiting now to have a Phenon II to blow my mind.

I like AMD for the bang for the buck 6 cores for ~250 with a decent power consumption

My personal CPU history:
Intel: 386-SX 33MHz, 486, Celeron 300a
AMD: Athlon XP 1800, Athlon XP 2400, Athlon XP 3200, Athlon 64 3200, FX-57, Opteron 270, Phenom II 965 BE..... (1090T if I win?)

See a pattern?
