I've not watched it but that's probably a fair way to put it. Linus is what I call a tech "edutainment" guy. Which is fine, different styles for different crowds.

Ha! This similar scenario came up at work between myself and a buddy. He said I should check out Linus's video on simulating Ryzen r5s by disabling cores in the 1800x... " You want me to watch a LTT video!? Wtf!" After a chat we agreed on this exactly. Infotainment in the tech space and different content for a different audience.

Make your own cooler? No, too time consuming. Modding your own cooler? Hells ya. My ... now idle htpc had a stupid little whiny fan so I replaced it with a sizable cpu heatsink, spread the fins a bit and ran it fanless.
