I'm not on the list because I'm an overachiever... now if Forbes puts out a Trillionaire list then I'll make that one ;)

Seriously though, I love reading those stories about billionaires who no one knew were billionaires (until the story that is), I wouldn't want to be on a fucking list because the minute the world knows you have money (big money) everything changes.

Funny how the worlds richest person is from one of the most corrupt and dangerous nations on earth.

On another note, imagine being a billionaire at 28... looking at you Mark Zuckerberg.

What a life he COULD lead; alas he will probably either snort it up or give it all away to seek life altering changes in a buhddist sanctuary in some shithole.

:D

I guess the only way I feel I can relate is that I've never had a debt in my life. Bought both my car and my house in cash. Didn't go to college so have no loans... I can't imagine that burden... I don't make much money, just 50k a year... I guess you could say I'm frugal LOL

I wouln't know what to do with all that $$...once you buy everything you want the rest is just Monopoly $$

fuck that.
you just watch me spend that money. It only takes a little effort.

my own race track, 500 car garage with the fastest supercars, a few private jets to travel the world and land anywhere I want, bitches and hoes in my entourage, pay Lindsay Lohan to lick a dirty public toilet seat or fuck a dog on camera, etc etc

I can blow through 1000 million easily.

Interesting....

If you took every penny ALL these people have and put it ALL together into one lump sum, you STILL would NOT have enough money to even come close to the astronomical debt the US government owes. It would never be enough to make any difference to anything that is a problem with government. For that reason (and that reason alone), it makes no sense at all to attack "the rich" to fix any kind of social/economic issues. But taking every penny from them all WOULD end up destroying huge amounts of potential for economic growth. It's an argument that I'm hearing all too often and is based on ignorance, envy, and jealousy.

People in general really need to get back to looking at "the rich" with the thought of getting rich themselves.

You'd be pretty close if you added the entire 1% in, actually. The U.S. has about $60T in *private* wealth, so uh, there's plenty to go around. Not to mention the $20T or so the wealthy store oversees.

Hope that clears things up a bit.

I'm not going to question your numbers. The point is that I believe that this money is better as "private" than it would be as government.

Shit, Wal-Mart has 4 people in the top 20 (11, 14, 16, 17) .

How much of that do you think comes from WIC and other government assistance programs? The gov't gives grants to the states, to give to people in 'need', so Wal-Mart can raise prices and turn record profits each year.

While the middle-class is forced to buy Great Value cheese because Kraft is too fucking expensive. *boggle*

In order for "money" to hold any actual value, it must be accepted by another human. Money is a claim on someone else's time. Call me a commie, but this list disgusts me, as do the people admiring it.

Actually there's more questions that it raises...like what is implied here?
