No problems running it so far. Just left Edgewater. The game reminds me so much of Skyrim which is good...for me.

Weapons and armor are somewhat disappointing - only a few tiers of each. Did not bother with mods.
Same as in previous fallout games, 100 hacking/lockpicking/persuasion is ez mode.
What kind of idiotic reply is that? Are you truly so fucking stupid that you can't comprehend that most people don't like screen tearing and not every monitor has freesync/gsync? And you even admit to having the same hitching that I'm having but you are ignorantly blaming your CPU.Game is fucking amazing. I've put over 30 hours just in this weekend already.
Runs amazing on my PC, only issues I have is the occasional hitching, usually when just starting the game or just randomly. I chalk that up to my aging processor, though...as when hitching occurs my processor is peaked out....regardless, barely an issue and very much playable.
You're attacking everyone and calling them morons/etc., but you're playing with VSync on?
lul
Nice edit, guess you didn't feel like you were talking out your ass enough. Have you not ever heard the term "bottleneck"?What kind of idiotic reply is that? And if you had a clue then you would know that your 6700k is NOT a meaningful bottleneck here and not the cause of your hitching. You are getting the same hitching that me and some others have reported and it has nothing to do with hardware. But hey instead of just admitting that you blame your cpu and make an asinine comment about me using vsync. Anything else stupid and useless that you would like to add?Nice edit, guess you didn't feel like you were talking out your ass enough. Have you not ever heard the term "bottleneck"?
Maybe learn a thing or two about properly utilizing the NVidia control panel, and MAYBE you can figure out your own issues.

I did not rush that much, only missed/did not bother with two quests on Byzantium.Everyone will approach the game differently, but the idea of rushing through the story quests just to get to the end seems like chugging an $800 bottle of wine.
My pc is running the game buttery smooth, maybe it's because I have an AMD card and you are using an nvidia card. And if you had a clue then you would know that your 6700k is NOT a meaningful bottleneck here and not the cause of your hitching. With my 1080ti I get around 95-130fps @1440p maxed out (no loot motion blur of course) depending on the scene.Still running vsync?
You should be hitting 60fps with a 1080ti on most standard resolutions, so why bother.
Given his quote, he is monitoring his HW during gameplay.

Well if you could have access to everything with a single character build it wouldn't be a very good rpg. I would count this as a pro not an issue.
I have no charm, bellow average intelligence but still can persuade or intimidate anyone into submission. Next time I'll try a hacker / lockpicker spec with high stealth.
The good thing about the game is that there is always another option to solve a problem, If you can't talk your way out of it. And some dialogue options need high medical or science skills, you can't have them all. And that's all right.
Can you not holster weapons in the game? I'm feeling kind of stupid running around weapons drawn everywhere. I might even shoot someone accidentally with my twitchy trigger finger.
I have only small gripes with the game apart from that.
1: Why can't you have all mission markers on at the same time on the map? It's such a hassle that every time you don't know what to do next you have to cycle trough all quests to see which is local. Go to Journal choose active quest, go to map, see where it leads to, repeat until end.
2: Different tier weapons look exactly the same in the inventory there is nothing to differentiate them. Giving them different colors at least wouldn't have been much work.
3: The FMVs and loading screens are stretched on ultrawide. (no hack / workaround available yet)
4: Can't turn off chromatic aberration and mouse acceleration (can do them with ini editing)
Thanks, I think I've tried that, maybe I didn't hold it long enough.Hold R (if using default controls) to holster.

Another question: How the F do I use companion abilities? They are always greyed out for me.
I will have to try that, it still kinda bugs me. I get used to it (either that or it just warps perception) after about an hour tho.I went to max and it still looked weird. I believe i dialed it back by 10-20 and it was perfect after that.

Overall, I am very impressed by the game. The voice acting is top notch, though I find myself not looking at the animations in the conversations because they are flat and lifeless. Devoid of almost all emotion (there is a flicker, here and there, of life). One thing I can say is that the animations are definitely better flat and lifeless than Mass Effect Andromeda AAA Meme generation. That's really my only bitch about the game, the cut scenes and I can't dialogue skip (or haven't found the skip button). I have been listening to all the dialogues but I am getting tired of it, there is so damn much of it! Need the ability to skip some.
I was trying to think if I even hit the spacebar the last couple times... Guessing not, lol! Thank you for not making me feel stupidI think its just spacebar to skip conversation.
I just finished Emerald Vale, I chose to divert power to edgewater, and then get rid of that spaces choice leader so the botanical garden people will return. I just arrived on the groundbreaker and spoke to the customs guy. I had to stop playing at that point because the Packers game was starting. I am enjoying the game so far. The Emerald Vale map was quite small ... I hope the other locations make up for that.
I went straight out of Edgewater into heavy combat on Monarch, which you are repeatedly told you have brain damage if you go there, essentially. I had to go after seeing all the in game resistance and ... It was incredibly difficult with my junk weaponry from Edgewater. Still, I dug in and fought my way through a lot of it, running my ass off as well. Until I started to pickup a couple local weapons and armor that turned the tide.I think its just spacebar to skip conversation.

Yes, Monarch, for example, is a massive amount of exploration that I haven't come anywhere near coming completely over. I hadn't even accomplished all the quests there prior to leaving the planet on another mission. The starter map area is intentionally smaller to get the ball rolling and then, from there... it gets a lot bigger and more open worlds (yes, multiple planets) and it starts to feel a lot more like Mass Effect mixed with Fallout.I can easily confirm that Edgewater was very small compared to other maps/planets/moons etc.

Ommmggg stop it!1!Vault boy dies at the end.
At the end your gang pulls off the monster's mask and it turns out to be the G-Man from Halflife all along!Ommmggg stop it!1!
in the Nvidia control panel, force ‘Prefer Maximum Performance’.
The game is really awesome so far, I love how they’ve scattered loot around all the various corners of the map so it feels worth while to explore.
