Here's mine I just finished after I moved into my new(used)1st house. Can't afford a real rack, so 2x4s (free)will do. Took me a while to route the cables to the living room, one bedroom and two outlets in the basement.

Top down: 16 port patch panel, 2-8 port 100mbs switches, hp router, comcast cable "modem", SVEC case: web/email server(free), HP4000 print server (free). slide out keyboard/mouse(free), fileserver.
monitor: got to find a place for that.

The rack. Its a mess, but you should have seen it before I cleaned it up to this...

    Server rack...

Production area... The printer with the roll feed has two print engines and each engine has 4 Dual 3.2 Xeons. The RIP engine is a 4 CPU UltraSparc system with 16gb of memory.

RIP station for our large color printer. 8 CPU UltraSparc system. 32gb of RAM. And when "ripping" it still runs slow.

The Xerox iGen3... Very big, fast and expensive color printer. 100ppm.

Graphics work station. Dual 2.7 G5. Monitor recently replaced with 23" LCD.

My desk... LOL... That sun monitor is coverying up my 19" LCD. I use both in a dual monitor setup.

The cisco gear towards the bottom is some new stuff I am tasked with configuring and deploying into production. The rest is just some odds and ends in our datacenter. There are a ton of pics that I have from where I work that I will try to get up soon.

    Correction: Ghetto Fabulous.

Had to put in an extra controller card recently and never got the case back on for some reason. The server setup is nearly brand new so it's not even fully working and together yet. After everything software-wise is actually working we'll go back and clean it up.

Off topic, any Remote Installation Services for win2k3 gurus here want to PM me?

just picked up this for $10.65 from local auction. Finally have my own rack in my basement, and for soooo cheap. There was 4 of them for auction, but I only needed one :) 7' tall, almost touching the beams.

WAP54G on the left set in Client Mode to connect to my school's wireless, which is then fed to the WRT54G on the right hand side... which distributes via the switch and a local WAN :)

    Here's my little contribution...
    Here
    And
    Here
    Equipment is as follows:
    Linksys BEFSR41 4 port 10/100 router
    &
Linksys BEFCMU10 Cable modem....I decided to go with Linksys after I blew a Toshiba modem :( Oh well, it was worth the cost, it functions flawlessly.
Server is a Dell Dimension 4500 w/ a P4 1.8Ghz, 512Mb of RAM, and a 40Gb HDD..running Windows 2003 Enterprise, Apache, and Serv-U for web/ftp (respectively)...Planning on putting a 160Gb drive in it as well to further enhance my local network storage.

I need a new camera or better picture taking skills...mine suck :(
