volt modded my mobo for vdimm... ill post some benches later on this week for kicks and giggles... i need to get good enough at soldering to do the cpu volt mods before i can actualy think about getting anywhere in benches

just a quick over volt and o/c to test the volt mod got me 900 mhz on the ram... not bad for $140 2x1024 valueselect pc4300 eh?

Not bad at all man, good stuff.

Good luck with the voltmodding.

BitchBreaker - 119,314 - Intel 955xe @ 5.890GHz/ X1900XTX @ 750/1700

Still working on a good win2k install, these are on winxp pro so crappy result's

Nice stuff man, very nice indeed. I'll get it updated right away here.

EDIT: Got the AM3 updated, but is that with your CF setup? You're right on par with a number of SLI'd 7800GTX's and I wasn't sure if the 1900XTX was really that strong in AM3 to pull that kind of score running solo.

Also, congrats on being the only Intel rig in the AM3 Top10...good stuff.

Im running single card right now..no CF so my single card at low clock's are on par with dual 7800gtx 256's ;)

Very nice to hear bro, very nice indeed.

memory did 900 mhz but this was faster....
im not done tweaking.... and i still have the droop and vcore mods to do... but as promiced...

This is with Opteron 165 @ 2700MHz (9x300) and ram (Value 2x1GB, micron -5B F) at DDR450 3-3-3. DFI Lanparty UT SLI-DR.

1x 7900GTX @ 690MHz / 850MHz RAM

All air. XP90C w/ Panaflo L1B on CPU, and stock dual slot HSF on the G71.

Haha, take THIS... ;)

This is about all I can get out of this system, a single MHz higher on the FSB and this board "loses focus" and things start going screwy. Funny how much a non-working PCI lock can effect your overclocking experience eh? :p

Get me on the Top10 anyways. :D

I don't quite get it, how do you intend to give me your time? :p

Ah well, hopefully I find out tomorrow (or pretty soon) if this local computer store is gonna sponsor me and hook me up with a rig to OC, if not it hopefully won't be TOO long until I've got something else to work with. ;)

Very nice robberbaron, good show, and congrats on the first 7900 score getting posted.

Thanks dude! I'm going to try to squeeze more out of it with a single core that, if I remember right, will bench at 2.9GHz.
This video card is a beast though, as you can see. 20,000 GFX score on single card!

Yeah man, just nuts. I can remember when me, centvalny, and James Earl Ray were neck and neck and were going for the first 100k score on [H]...things have come so far.

Keep at it.

Not the fastest time around, but not bad for that s754 Sempy. Thx for finishing off the 1M Top10 BeernuT.

Nice scores but your ram is way low, your card's are being bottle necked by the cpu and ram speed, but otherwise a fine set of run's

Thanks :) Figured I had a CPU bottleneck as soon as I saw the scores compared to the ones I got using a single X1900XT. Improvements noted were:

01 - 4% (33778 > 35211)
03 - 66% (18625 > 30981)
05 - 29% (11506 > 14745)
06 - 57% (5900 > 9267)

The next muliplier up (5/6) puts the RAM at DDR450 though, and then it fails MemTest86 test 5 even with the most relaxed timings. I don't want to lower the CPU speed, since the scores seem to scale well with that, and all the scores above mine have higher CPUs (above 3Ghz). Suppose I could drop to a 9x multiplier, set FSB to 300, and mem multiplier to 2/3, giving proper DDR400 operation. Or even FSB 318 with 8.5xCPU multi and 2/3 divider for DDR424 - think that'd make much of a difference over the DDR360 I'm on now? Should have thought of that sooner, got so used to my A8R-MVP not going above 270 I didn't consider a 300Mhz FSB an option,, but the A8R32 should do that with ease.

As for the CPU, it's a dual-core above FX-60 speeds and on specs equivalent to a (non-existent) A64 5100+ (4400+ = 2.2G, 4800+ = 2.4G, FX-60/5000+=2.6G) - if it's bottlenecking, there's nothing I can replace it with that won't.

Not to shabby JDAdams, welcome to the Top10's.

No hard feelings I guess robberbaron, I knew it wouldn't take long. :p

Maby get better ram...

Probly the best thing I could recommend also.

Even with a 2.7Ghz dualcore A64 you'd be surprised how much your X1900 CF setup is gonna be CPU bottlenecked (JDAdams)...so any gains in that department will still help out your scores a fair bit, but I would grab up some more overclockable memory first thing if I was you.

Iv ran my x1900cf setup with a 6.2ghz 661 cedar mill and was STILL bottle necking the card's.....Iv got a lot of pushing to go just to make 1 sick run..but im working on it.

Maybe a 2-way Sossaman @ 3.6GHz per chip will remove CPU bottlenecks.

OMFG, finally gave in 2 the dual core lure, picked up an opty 165.
WoW. I had a SLI rig the always seemed under powered with an
AMD64 3800, dual core seems to really hit a sweet spot with SLI.
Running an Opteron [email protected] GHZ, SLI BFG 7800GTX 490/1350
the SLI finally was screamming, AQ3 129,617!! damn best $300 bucks I ever spent.
aquamark20060319211332719je.jpg

Thanks, When I first got the processor I was benching with Corsair DDR500 Plat. RAM.
AQ3 was running 122,500 peak. Been doing a bit of gaming lately so switched
to 2 GB Corsair a while back. Popped in a pair of OCZ EL PLAT R2 and boom
defintely running much better. A bit of tweaking of timings and 129.
Had to blink a couple of times =)

Don't want to upgrade the RAM since I only just picked it up, and it's more than enough for any games I want to play for now. Besides, they're not bad scores really are they? :)

Now clocked up a bit more:
Windows x64
OpteronX2 170 @270x10 (1.55V / 57° load / Prime 9hr and SuperPi 32M stable)
2G Corsair XMS3200@180(2-3-3-7-1T)
2xX1900XT@675/775
Stock Coolers

New scores:

3DM01 - 35388 - Can't upload, keep getting "The operation timed out"
3DM03 - 31052 - http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k3=4690685
3DM05 - 14855 - http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm05=1894797
3DM06 - 9351 - http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm06=198515

Aquamark3 - Doesn't run on x64

SuperPi 1M - 31.829s

SuperPi 32M - 27m 58.781s :(

These are all at fully stable speeds with no artefacts when benchmarking - is that strictly required or do the benchmarks just need to complete and give a score?

JD,
I Had same problem with 3dMark 2001 scores this weekend too.
Couldn't submit any scores, still can't this morning. All the old scores
are still there but I get an error when trying to submit new scores.
Sweet run too, 36,144 :)

Fricken nice score UniB, can't wait for someone (you) to break 130k in AM3...I'm so eager to get a benchable system up and running to get back into things. I know I won't be running quite THAT strong, but I feel so left out.

No, they're not BAD scores, but it just hurts to see your memory chuggin' along at DDR360 when you're sportin' a 2.7GHz DC Opty and a pair X1900's in the same rig.

These are all at fully stable speeds with no artefacts when benchmarking - is that strictly required or do the benchmarks just need to complete and give a score?

Honestly, it doesn't really matter. I've always been a firm believer in submitting artifact free/fully stable benchmark results, so that somebody could sit down beside me and I could run the test in question and reproduce the score fairly easily, free of artifacts.

At the same time however I do enjoy pushing my hardware to the absolute breaking point, to the point where a single notch higher on the FSB or gpu clock results in benchmarks locking up.

Feel free to submit whichever "type" of result you like people. I know that when I had my 3.4E/X800XT-PE setup running, my 702MHz gpu clock on the X800XT that I used for my 88,000 run of Aquamark3 wasn't QUITE artifact free...so have fun, and keep postin' up those scores.

Got a new chip to play with! Right of the bat went 250 x 12 1.6v and super stable, gona back the voltage down now and tweak!

Nice :) Returned the RAM for 2x1G corsair pc3500ll - now trying memtest at ddr450/pc3600 2-3-3-7-1T (typing on my pda). Better?

Much better. :)

Hopefully you see some decent gains with that new setup bro, especially if you do much gaming, 2Gb must be nice.

*looks over at rig...2x128MB PC3200 and 1x256MB PC2100...sigh*

Very nice BB, looks to be quite the chip you've got there. What cooling was that Sandy under for the 250x12 run?

priming the sd 4000+ right now on stock cooler backed down to 1.45v 3ghz, shes 15 min's into the run and no problem's loading up at about 37*c.

Very nice bro...can't wait to see where it ends up. And I'm guessing I don't need to ask you what you're priming it for eh? :p I expect great things out of this chip.

Heard from your bro yet? check your pm's and get back to me when you can please and thx. :)
