The board in my main rig (AXP 2100+) died this morning. If someone has an old AXP board around I would greatly appriciate the donation. I have: 15 old 166 MHz computers, and 4 small atx cases, 2 233 p2 CPUs with mother boards, 1 600 and 1 533 celleron CPUs. 1 400 p2 cpu. some old pc 66/100 memory sticks 32meg to 128 meg,have to sort it.lots of old mother boards for p2 cpus 4 or more I think. Couple boxes of old style hd and floppy cables. big old box full of old at power supply's missing the fan screws. lots of 2.5 gig hds and lower.

need : copy of xp or 2000 so I can get my other folding machine running and maybe an lcd fanbus with a temp probe, my new mother board is giving me off the wall temps in the bios and thought programs like speed fan so I can keep track of my cpus actual temperature.

Socket A HSF - Hard Texan, it would be perfect for you. It is a Thermosonic model; used on a 1700+ OC'd well past 2000+ speeds...
Possibly defunct PC133 RAM stick, like 128 MB - Can't test b/c no system compatible here.

Need:
Some PC2100 DDR. Standard run-of-the-mill RAM.
 
Have: 5 port Linksys 10/100 switch, unmanaged. Yours for cost of shipping. Same for an Athlon 700 (Socket A/462) this chip is probably dead as it was in a system that experienced a total PSU failure, but may be worth a shot if you've got an older Socket A mobo lying around. For the OS... the easiest, leanest solution is unhappy_mage's Anti-Fold Server... see this thread http://www.hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=930847

It's a long thread with lot's of info --

I'm using this OS on 3 dedicated folding machines, and will put it on any new or old machine that I can dedicate to folding.. It's easy to install --- read the long thread carefully or ask me or one of the other frequent posters for the four commands to start it once you have installed it.

Good luck on the fan bus etc...

Just saw budec's post with same thread -- sorry... but it is the best solution for dedicated boxen.
