WHAT?!

Even though CPU-Z reports something TOTALLY different, PLEASE tell me you don't have that E8400's Vcore set THAT high for just 3600 Mhz?!?!

I didn't. its at stock voltage for my mobo, forgot the 1 infront of 84 and 68 (i.e 1.184 & 1.168)

That'd be like my old northie 1.8Ghz 'A' which ran at 3ghz on 1.8v :p

Notes: CPU, Mobo, & Ram can go much faster, but temp is hot enough for me (was hitting 74c at 3.2ghz). Loudest part in my system is the raptor hard drive.

P.S. Very happy with it, much faster than my old AMD 6000+

Peak temperature when I was running 3 worker threads in Prime95 and loading the 9800GTX with Video Card Stability Test was around ~58-59C on all four CPU cores and ~50C for the 9800GTX during testing over the weekend, when it was a bit amount warmer in my place than it is now (room temperature was 76 or 77F, or ~25C, rather than the 72F it is now). I must say I rather enjoy having such a powerful system that's essentially completely inaudible from more than a couple feet away (the P180B case that this is all sitting inside is helping out in this regard as well). :)

htpcfp8.png

Edit: I'll link to a new screenshot showing Prime95 running for long enough to 'prove' stability later but I had just started running it a few minutes prior to making the original post. :p

Edit 2: Updated screenshot now attached. I stopped after only 4 hours here, but as I previously said, I was running for 24+ no problem over the weekend. Also as far as I can tell, the only reason why I need voltage so high is because of a dud core #2, given that it's the one that failed literally every time as I was trying to find the minimum needed voltage for stability. Heck, I was worried I wouldn't be able to clock nearly this high before I started and saw a VID on this CPU of 1.2375. ;)
