Hmm, my "dock" could use some improvement. Anyone know how to set up a Mac-like dock?

I use the 'MyQuickLaunch' bar with the Yahoo Widgets engine :)

here is mine... simple, and the folders tell it all
and i dont know why the white is showing up, it goes away in photobucket, but its back on here...

Ok, wallpaper linkage, pretty please.

Seems like in this day and age people would mention or provide linkage to such wonderful wallpapers/backgrounds automagically... especially in a thread loaded with requests for the very wallpapers on the Desktops that make up most of the thread. :D

Ok, I gotta ask... how're you liking the Eee so far? And how's it handling Win2K, which is literally a perfect OS for it considering the limitations... I'm still on the fence about getting one, almost had EeeNix done (my idea for a custom Linux distro) but it just didn't work out. Doesn't mean I can't restart it but but but...

i like it a lot. and i do agree Win2k is perfect for it. only thing that doesnt work right now is the webcam but thats ok. least i haven't found any drivers for it yet and haven't really bothered to look. it took a few tries to make a fully updated Win2k install that was nLited down to size but i did it; all the drivers that are up on the support site work great with 2k as well. upgraded the ram to 2GB and threw a 8GB SDHC card in for more storage. absolutely perfect as a school laptop. not to mention i love the battery life while using wifi and having the screen as bright as it is. keyboard is ok to deal with. a good test was typing a 3 page paper on it yesterday with no problem. Asus has a real winner on their hands with this.

@ Shalantas:

Limewire? People still use that? How's those viruses and spyware working out for you? :D

I got excited!

Ok, you KNOW you're not getting away with those beautiful wallpapers without hookin' the rest of us up, so ... linkage, my good man, linkage to them if you please. :)

Beautiful stuff, really.

Just to ask (for anyone reading the thread): would it really be that hard for people posting images to provide links to the wallpapers you use? I mean, Imageshack is free image hosting, only takes one click to upload basically and then you get a link others can use. Anyone? Anyone? :p

I always use ImageShack.. but of course my walls are pretty boring... but it would be nice if links were provided when the wallpapers posted are a little more interesting than most..

I really like the watermelon with headphones... cool stuff..

I was just playing with Stardock ObjectDock Plus, here is my Modified Clean XP Desktop on my Office PC. (Updated)

There ya go!

@ ctantra:

Hey what is that program/widget/whatever you have running at the top of the screen that says "General, Applications, (etc.)"?

Damn...I was afraid you were gonna say that.:(

Anyone know if there is something similar to that for Yahoo! Widgets?

Yeah, sort of...here is what it looks like...and here is a link the guy put up, as trying to find anything in the Yahoo gallery is a joke at best... he was nice enough to host it...

Awesome! I'll mess around with it and see what it can do.

...and yea, the redesigned Yahoo! Widgets Gallery is a mess now. The old design was at least a little better at finding stuff...now most of the search results come up with crap.

Jag0

you can get rocketdock which is free and then download the KKmenu LSD (?sp) plugin/dock menu and get the same thing. Go find some icons that say general, applications and so on and just assign it to the menu.

here is a screen cap of how I have mine setup and it comes pretty close to the stardock solution.
