I had some free time and wanted to see how white I could make everything look.

White themes are nice, but I have to turn down the backlight on my freeking LCD to use them without blinding myself (In the afternoon at least, after the ambiant light in my room goes down).

I tried setting my bakgound color to white once when it was late at night...It was like turning on a 40 What light bulb right in my face

You might find a widget for Yahoo Widget Engine that's similar to the bar you get in mac. Search Konfabulator (It will come up as Yahoo Widget Engine).
