Yes, please reward nvidia for it's shitty, anti-consumer practices by buying this because it has a green logo.
depends on your definition of "play" and "games"... on one hand, i ran some older games at 4K on an overclocked 4GB GTX 670; on the other hand, there's scenarios where even a Titan RTX can struggle...If it can play games in 4k I'm in. Cause my GTX 780 can't.
So you want a Vega VII.
Please substantiate your nonsense claims.Yes, please reward nvidia for it's shitty, anti-consumer practices by buying this because it has a green logo.
with the lack of ray-tracing and DLSS titles plus AMD releasing their new cards this summer I'm guessing Nvidia releases some sort of refresh this summer...otherwise Nvidia has no new cards until 2020
Same amount as their castrated $800 card? How do you figure?Needs 8GB of RAM, then it'll be a winner, especially if it comes in at the lower prices.
Maybe you should have thought about a proper 4k card when you bought your 4k monitor. And I will go ahead and save you the suspense by letting you know that the 1660 will not be a very suitable 4k card for modern games. If it can play games in 4k I'm in. Cause my GTX 780 can't.
Nvidia looks like they will be alot stronger in the mid range this time.
The 1660ti should be very similar to a 980ti for $280. Sounds like a good deal over the RX590
The 1660 will most likely be just ahead of the 1060, even if it uses GDDR5X instead of GDDR6. At $230, it should give a better fight to the RX580.
The 1650 could be the most significant addition to Nvidia's midrange lineup. It would provide a real alternative to the RX570 instead of the pathetic 1050ti. I would suspect it to use a 128 bit bus with 4 GB of GDDR5x. At $180, it could be an efficient beast for 1080p.
You mean 600% right?Because it's only 60% better than the 1060, duh.
I think the RTX2060 will be a good seller. Its basically a cheaper GTX1070Ti+RTX+DLSS and that's a win in my book.
Of all the RTX cards I think this is the one that makes sense price/performance wise.
But it sails right under the bar for ray tracing performance @1080p today. So then you're only getting one for the DLSS, which isn't exactly a compelling selling point.
What is with all the ridiculous comments about 8gb of vram on the 1660? The 1660 is a 192 bit card so 8gb is not even an option anyway. And as others have already said, it would make no sense as even the 2060 only has 6 gb.

What do you think I mean? You talked about wanting a video card that can play games at 4K because your current 780 can't so is it a stretch to think you have a 4k monitor? If you were talking about DSR then you should have said that. But either way this new card is not suitable for modern games at 4K and you would know that if you kept up with hardware at all. What are you even talking about? What 4k monitor?
$350 is solidly in the used 1080 arena...Just a friendly reminder to potential buyers of this card... with markup, tax and shipping you're at around $300 to $350.
$300 to $350 buys you a good used 1070 or 1080. Good luck.

IMO as it is right now. Its a good alternative to a GTX1070Ti as its cheaper and faster and could only get better if its capable of doing RTX/DLSS at playable framerates.
AFAIK BFV should perform well with RTX/DLSS, but that doesn´t mean that other RTX games will...
So in the end I think its a good card with the potential to become a great one.
Only time will tell.
BTW as I have a GTX 1070Ti right now, I feel like I have no real choices for upgrading. But I might get one to replace my sons GTX1070 if it ends up performing well under RTX
Have you seen that DLSS is not enabled yet?Hang on a second have you seen the article on here about the 2060 and bfv ray tracing performance?
I haven't seen one for under $400, much less $350.$350 is solidly in the used 1080 arena...
I see Used 1080s at $350 all over ebay....I haven't seen one for under $400, much less $350.

4 @ $340 shipped

Maybe on a purely price/$ aspect, the rx590 still might win, but the 1660ti will offer better efficiency among other aspects. The RX 590 is already down to $260 for some models, with free games.
Just because you managed to find a $210 1060, doesn't mean that is the typical price. Moreover, where was it stated that the 1660 will be 3 GB only? It might not be GDDR6, but I doubt it will be a 3gb card1060 6GB - $210 on sale
1660 3GB - $230. Same speed but half the ram? Progress!
wtf is a 1660ti....
My guess is the GTX1660Ti will have 6gb DDR5X ram and perform like a GTX 1070
A used card is cheaper than a new card? Wait till word of this gets out!Just bought a 1080 for around that price Nvidia can shove this card somewhere nice.

If you're not in a hurry, leaks regarding Navi show that they will hit into these and smaller price-points with some pretty competitive hardware. Of all projected Navi leaks/info, it seems most likely that there will be parts right down to the sub 200 and 200-400 range with great performance. The real question is if the highest tier Navi this year is planning to come close to the Radeon VII and opinions are split; some are concerned that the highest end Navi will be close to the Radeon VII at a much lower price point thus causing an issue, while others will feel that the VII will have a performance lead across the board for the foreseeable future until another high end card arrives.
Regardless, Navi sounds a much better alternative for those buying in the low-gaming to mid+ range at very least, as opposed to supporting Nvidia.
