The [H]ardForum Perpetual Freebies Thread

Quite a ways from Falmouth. About two hours
Well the trip to Connecticut is like 4 hours for a normal driver but it's about 3 - 3.5 the way she drives LoL!
I don't think She will drive that long for some "old junk" (Not junk to some but as you know one mans trash is another's treasure!)

I figure I would check here first before dropping the 30$, does anyone have a 240w or more dell laptop PSU willing to rehome?
I acquired a gaming laptop with some pretty stout power requirments.

HP J1493A 4 port KVM, 9 cables that are all alike, and then 4 that are made up of individual cables tied together. All free plus shipping/box. its outta here!

Anyone have 2 80MM x 25MM 4-wire (PWM) fans? I need 2 for my Dell Precision T1700 any fan is fine as long as it is 80MM x 25MM and a PWM 4 wire motherboard connector.
I already bought some Dell fan adapters so as long as it is the "standard" type connector I'm good. A matched pair is good but not necessary.
80MM fans are [H]ard to find out of OEM/industrial part dealers now.
Thanks

Just a suggestion, but if you know the Dell part number they're usually fairly cheap on ebay--and they don't need an adapter. :)

USB-C to HMDI Adapter and a 22mm Leather Watch Band (black). Originally for Galaxy Watch 3 but would obviously work with any other 22mm watch. Free pay shipping.

Edit: adapter claimed... watch band still available.

Anyone have DDR3 sodimm, any size is fine and a 65w+ hp power brick that will work with an HP 2760p? Got one three from a “toss” pile at work and I’m letting my 12yo son learn the joys of fixing up a pc. I think the sata hdd is ok but getting win7 to install guessing the worn serial from the sticker is fun so far!

I have lots, how many you need?
3 sticks would be awesome. Any sizes will work, just want him to "upgrade" the ram and learn to install. Plus any extra ram will help the systems as he reinstalls the OS. I think they have 2 or 4 gb built in so anything is an upgrade.

Hello fellow hardware hoarders collectors! :D

Does anyone have any mSATA SSDs to spare? (AKA mini-PCIe) These are the older standard. Not the current M.2 style. I'm trying to resurrect some old Atom devices. They need to be at least 16GB, but larger would be appreciated. Thanks for looking!

Hitachi 7200 RPM 2.5" 300 GB laptop hard drive pulled from X230 many years ago and just kept in a drawer.

Its in a Rosewill USB 2.0 enclosure.

Priority flat rate box shipping is 10 bucks.

Anyone want a set of six very old DTC 2278 cards? I bought these ages ago to resell, sold a couple, put the rest in storage. I don't need them and might just toss them, but if anyone wants these for some retro builds, then you can have 'em for the cost of shipping. I have two complete with all cables and four cards only in box. They are untested, and might have a few bumps. I made images of all the driver floppies that came with these and put them up at the internet archive just in case.

Edit: These are currently pending.

I ship from California and would prefer it if you could send me a UPS or USPS label. I -prefer- to ship them all to a single person, since I don't have time to go mail stuff every day. Please PM me if you're interested, or these go out to the trash in two days.

Dang, I wish I would have seen this earlier. I have a 386 motherboard with a dead controller card and people on Ebay want stupid money for those. Guess I'll keep looking.

Don't have any spares at the moment, but I discovered the Samsung external T5 SSDs actually have MSATA SSD's inside them. I bought a few the other year to tear apart and harvest the MSATA drives. Might be bigger than you need though - I think they came in 250gb / 500gb / 1tb. Anyways, at the time, the price for one of those external SSDs was half the price of buying a Samsung MSATA outright (since they are scarce now) and even a bit cheaper than buying a sketchy nameless chinese MSATA on Amazon.

I have 5 of these 3.5 SATA Seagate Barracuda 500GB hard drives (as of right now) that I'm looking to get rid of. All are in good working condition. They were pulled and wiped when we upgraded to SSD's. I may be able to get more as we continue to upgrade.

I have them listed in my FS thread for $15 each, but figured I'd list them here just to get rid of them. I'm thinking I'd do $10 shipped for each drive, using the padded flat rate USPS envelope which is $8-$9. I'll work with you on the price if multiple drives are bought.

If you're going to send those drives in a flat rate envelope, put them in a sturdy box with extra padding before doing so.

Those envelopes are good, but they get tossed around a lot. They get treated like a box because of their dimensions so they're not safe to send stuff in on their own.

Yep yep, it'll be one hard drive and the rest bubble wrap. Don't worry, they'll be packed appropriately!!!

Acer Monitor. 22" or 21" (not sure but I think 22"?). Has DVI or VGA connectors but I will also include a DVI to HDMI adapter. I'm in Michigan, 48314. Local only, you pick up.
