Free for the cost of shipping ($30 - CONUS)

The below: A X9DRX board that just won't stabilize on Post. It'll turn over..... and just sit there. Both sockets do have what appears to be (slight?) pin aberrations that i do suspect are causing the post issues. Someone with more time on their hands could likely get this board back working.

Suicide battery causing the problems? SuperMicro boards do not like it when the CMOS battery is low or flat. Some boards will not POST at all, others behave badly.

That's alot of pcie slots! :D
Yessir. With x2 Xeons, you get x10 3.0 x8 slots and a single 2.0 x8.

Don't think it's the battery. Did drop a new battery among other things, but had no impact. This is one of 2 boards from an Ebay seller - the other one cranked up just fine with a pair of 2690v2s + qvl ecc ram. Those same chips/ram would not stabilize on this guy here.

Does anyone have an extra free or cheap USB/C fast charger that can do 12v? I have a samsung dual charger pad / stand that is very picky about incoming power. (typical price for an authentic one is around 20$)

Okay, so here's a freebie tip from years in the hotel industry. Go to any hotel front desk (that's open), and tell them you forgot your charger when you stayed last and to see their 'charger box'. They will hand you this huge box of chargers to rummage through. Find the one you like and let them know you found yours and thank them! :)

These forgotten chargers usually end up stolen by staff and the leftovers end up basically getting trashed so pick up as many spares as you can this way--costs the hotel nothing and saves them dealing with them. Enjoy!

Won't any USB C laptop charger work? As far as I know any 19v USB C laptop charger must also be able to provide 5v and 12v as well.

it would specifically have to provide 12v among the other voltages it is capable of else it will error and not charge

So then you need either a Qualcomm Quick Charge charger, or a first generation USB Power Delivery charger.

Pretty much. Of all my C charger only one half of one worked but I need it for another device. (it has USB A and C and the A can do 12v but the C cant.... on the same charger)

I have a Raritan DSXA-48-AC "48 port secure console server" with the ears.

https://www.kvm-switches-online.com/dsxa-48-ac.html

I've had it for several years, got it from a job I worked on. Didn't end up using it and I'm tired of tripping over it. No idea if it works, but it powers on.

Free for cost of shipping, which is probably going to be a bit steep due to how big it is, it's basically a 1U rackmount pizzabox. I'll probably ship it Fedex because they'll pack it and I won't have to make a custom shipping box for it.

Serial management ports are still a thing in enterprise servers. It can make low level management of large numbers of servers, especially large numbers of different types of server a lot less painful.

Serial connections may have depreciated in the PC world, but other industries make religious use of RS-232 and RS-485. The latter can have runs for miles by using repeaters every 4000 feet. When you have devices that don't need to push a lot of data extreme distances apart, it's way cheaper to have a two wire RS-485 than something like Ethernet.

Oh yeah, almost every router I've seen has a serial port, my switches do, and many other odds and ends do. But they're not as prevalent as before as usb and tcp/ip variations of connectivity have come into play. I agree that the simplicity of a reliable rs485/232 connection is hard to beat, even when at 9600 baud. That's why I still have 2x Wyse vt-series terminals--just got to figure out what to do with them, lol.

Anyone want this OCZ DDR2 4gig RAM kit? Maybe for a retro gaming rig. Was from an old C2D/nForce 680i rig, iirc. It's pretty cool looking. Just pay shipping cost from Washington DC.

It's 4x 1GB sticks, and speed is PC2-8500 / 1066MHz DDR2

You could try this from Amazon for $11. I purchased a 46w charger from the same brand and it works fine. Also comes with a usb c to usb c cable as well so that's a bonus. Free return if it doesn't work for you.

Anyone need a large cloth mouse mat? Monoprice brand, roughly 18" x 14". Tracks awesome - I simply moved to one of those super big ones that sits under my mouse and keyboard.

Mouse placed on there for size reference.

Both chips work. Used to test out some of the older 2011v0 equipment i've had lying around.

I have one stick of Hynix 4GB ECC Registered DDR3. It's dirt cheap on the bay, about $1 to $1.50 per GB if you shop around.

if you don't find your quad i believe i have a athlon x2 6400+. thing can fry an egg in a heartbeat.
If he doesn't take the egg fryer, I could use it to upgrade an older HP dc5750 that's still working. :)

Thanks 404, but someone spoke up with a nice quad.

Cool. Glad you got that all sorted :)

Drop me your address. Just please keep in mind i live in a hive or corona so please give me a few days to get this out to you. I've been avoiding the post office as much as possible.
