Long shot here.... Looking for an HP pavilion p6404y motherboard;

Maybe someone has it sitting in their pile o' stuff. If not, I might just replace it with another micro-atx AM3 board.

Pegatron/ASUS/ASRock is garbage, especially their OEM stuff; I'd recommend just getting a different AM3 board. The only trouble you're likely to run into is the FP headers might need to be rewired.

Some freebies in PDX area.

Antec mid-ATX case with PSU/DVD drive.

Coolermaster 212 variant heatsink (NO FAN), backplate, AM3 mount only.

Currently purging a bunch of stuff- Have a pile of older motherboards, cpu's and ram sticks. Free but for the cost of shipping, can do USPS flat rate box for most of the motherboards or if you want it all will package up and just pay actually shipping from 06370. Slot One, Slot A, Socket A (the one Slot A motherboard is brand new used for testing 3dfx prototypes) and some other platforms, even have a running PentumPro 200 system.

Gary

Edit- Added some more pictures, forgot I had a working Digital 386 laptop. Have a later 3.0g P4 system and a 939 based system I'm going to be stripping down as well.

All PM's answered.

Does anyone have an EPS 4 pin motherboard plug laying around or one that they'd be able to pull from a dead board? I'd prefer the whole thing with the pins so it could be resoldered as one unit. Here's what I'm dealing with:

I'm actually running my HTPC on an old Abit IP35 Socket 775 with an E8400 (and probably need to open it up for cleaning). Do you have anything that would be a upgrade? Maybe on this list?

edit: I kept browsing that darn internet and descended down the rabbit hole of throwing Socket 771 Xeons in Socket 775 boards like mine. I'm probably set after ordering a trio of adapter stickers and a L5420 Xeon for under $5. I knew these older Xeon's were cheap, but this is cheaper than I'd expected. I wouldn't make a [H] member visit the post office at this price.

Actually, what I do have is what I got out of old machines that I did this whole 771->775 thing. So it wouldn't be any better than what you had =)

Let me know if you need any help with this mod. I did 4 machines, and they're working great. Now let me just ask you where did you get that L5420 for 5 bucks? =D

The new Slot A motherboard, the intel Slot One motherboard with cpu and ram and the 386 are all boxed and shipping out on Monday assuming I get out of work in a timely manner.

Post updated.

I sent you a PM with the link, but it's on Amazon US and the set of 3 mod stickers for $1 from china are, hopefully, still on their way. I have the chip already and it's a pretty solid chunk.

I went though bios screens writing down settings and doing some voltage limit examinations (the board can't be set lower than 1.3 volts on the latest bios) in preparation for this upgrade. PC Up Time Total in the bios was 56,802 hours aka nearly 6.5 years of uptime on my 1 owner motherboard.

edit: I kind of have one question... did you cut tabs in the socket or dremel notches into the CPU? I've seen a few ebay processors with the later solution and, when it comes down to modifying a cheap cpu vs cutting my motherboard, I think I like the later solution more.

anyone have any ddr3 non registered ECC 10600E ram? Prefer 4GB modules. Willing to trade my 10600R ram for your 10600E ram (I have 3x4GB).

Thank you!

Also I have a nvs 290 256mb pcie graphics card. It has a dms59 output and I don't have the adapter so if anyone wants it let me know.

I can use that!

I cut the tabs on the MoBo. A good, sharp knife (I used this) is all it takes.

Also, considering I am in Canada and most people around here are in the USA, I am rounding up a bunch of stuff I have and I'll send it all to SamirD so he can share the love. He will, of course, snag some for himself, and he deserves it because he's awesome and saved me quite a few times already =)

Is the guy that asked for the HDDs still around?!

what do you have? Also PM me with your shipping address and I can get you a quote for the NVS 290.

Some random 80-160-250-320GB HDDs, 2.5 and 3.5. There's one 500GB as well but it's 10+ years old. SMART test says BAD even though the thing is working fine and doesn't have many hours on it to boot. The others are all OK IIRC.

I was looking for RAM, HDDs, and Core 2 Quada

Assuming there's any left, I could use four drives to get some Optiplex 380s working for the local food bank.

I'll list them as soon as I go back home. That's going to be in two or three weeks, unfortunately.

Also, does anyone have an old android phone kicking around? I managed to bork the touchscreen of my old trusty Nexus 4. It's not cracked, but the touch is all wonky, with parts of the screen doing nothing and/or hitting 289289 other points. It's annoying, especially when using the touchscreen keyboard.

You could get one of these--NEC Terrain unlocked:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-NEC-Te...788?_trksid=p2349526.m4383.l4275.c10#viTabs_0

This thing will survive being thrown down onto concrete, dropped in almost any manner, dropped into water, punching the touchscreen and all sorts of abuse. It's a great phone for those that need a durable phone with a solid screen. When it came out it was $500.

I can use those as well, no joke.

My family back in my home country is suffering through a very shitty economy and buldging caps on the 9500GT/GT210/6200 (yeah!) they run. The powerful workstation they have for massive 3D rendering is an... i7-920. Which is coupled with the 9500GT that wants to go. They're freaking out.

I want to send a bunch of VGAs so they can keep going and have at least one or two to spare, so all of those would be put to really good use. I'll PM you.

Nah, I don't need anything that hardcore. I just need to sleep better so I won't fall of a damn ladder on my very first day at a new job. LOL.

I still don't know HOW the screen didn't crack, but oh well =D

It's just a normal phone and looks pretty plain until you drop it or something happens and it just keeps going. I've been very happy with mine. (y)

Free HP 6730B laptop (Core 2 Duo/G45 chipset based).

PDX AREA PICKUP ONLY.

This laptop was part of a larger group of systems I got, and didn't come with a charger. So I have no clue if it works or not. It had its HDD removed. Physically looks okay (can send timestamped pics), but must take as-is. But hey its free.

Looking for a cheap old flat-screen LCD monitor with a small/clean/professional bezel (15", 17", 1024x768 or higher, trying to avoid the eMachines style stuff with the HUGE stand and bezel, VGA input fine, prefer detachable stand if possible).

This might be too much to ask for free+ship, but figured I'd throw it in here.

I got an old (but BNIB) thinkcenter from work recently and am turning it into a retro emulation machine, so nothing too fancy needed.

I think I have what I need to find this, can't believe I didn't even consider ebay originally. Also see a couple of just-posted listings in my area on CL/FB so some options just appeared for me :)

I was going to say I'd go by the local Goodwill and pick up one of the many Dell units that come through there for like $5 and then ship it to you, but looking on ebay you can basically get the same thing for around the same cost shipped directly to you (shipping will probably be almost $20 even with my UPS discount due to the larger box to protect one of these things):

Another good source is pcliquidations:

I have a square hp vesa mountable (no stand included) that fits this description that I have no need for...but shipping will be a B. I can get details on it in a bit, but you’re probably in the $20-$30 range to pack/ship. What’s your zip code?
