The GSA Has Elected New Leadership to Expand the Initiative of the Organization

AMD CEO and President Dr. Lisa Su has been appointed as Chair of GSA Board of Directors and ARM CEO Simon Segars has been appointed Vice Chair of the global semiconductor organization. The GSA seeks to expand its scope of interest to include systems, software, solutions and services. The organization also wants to include Interest Groups and Working Groups for new emerging but fragmented technology such as internet-of-things (IoT), artificial intelligence (AI) and automotive. For example, the IoT group seeks to collaborate with various IoT ecosystem security stakeholders including chipset vendors, platform companies, cloud vendors and service providers to come up with solutions to address security issues and formulate standards for the devices.

"I'm very honored to be named as Chair of GSA Board of Directors and look forward to working with my fellow Board members to execute the expanded GSA vision," said Dr. Lisa Su. "Semiconductors are crucial drivers for a variety of industries and rapidly growing markets such as AI, IoT, automotive, big data, cloud computing and 5G. This industry is going through radical growth and transformation which demands new and different thinking, including an emphasis on stronger collaboration across the entire ecosystem to increase our pace of innovation."

Hopefully this means analysts will give them much better valuations (faith) then this up and down yo-yo style they have been doing.

they have been on point since Ryzen first released their future looks "great" so far, why not show them some "love" and not have them priced out like they are barely a player (when they are quite heavy weight considering the sheer amount of product, IP, initiatives and the like they do)
