Over the years I've read a lot about people saying not to go over 1.3, 1.4, and that anything over 1.4 is suicide even though intel spec is 1.52. I'm running my [email protected] and it works just fine but would like to push it to 5.0 GHz.

Will testing it at 1.45v for a short period of time be detrimental?

id say your fine over time it will degrade but by that time you will likely looking at getting a new cpu my 2600k degraded over the years but i was pushing 1.48 vcore for like 4 years befor it degraded now needs to much to run 5ghz and i have it at 4.8ghz.
