This is probably somewhere on the internets, but I had a hard time locating a single thread that could help me, so I decided to make it happen.

I reinstalled my OS, Windows 10
I needed to reinstall the Epic Launcher.
BUT, it can't find my HDD with all my games stored.....unlike Steam, which has a built in system.

So, here's what you gotta do and it works.

Open the drive/folder where you have your games stored
In my case, MetroExodus is in a drive listed under Epic Games
Rename that folder.....I used MetroExodusB
Now open the Epic Launcher
Under Library it will want to install the game....again

Ok....start the Install and D/L about 1%, now hit "cancel"
"Resume" should now show up in the launcher.
Minimize the Launcher, do not exit it.

Go back to your games drive
under Epic Games delete the newly created folder "MetroExodus"
Rename (in my case) MetroExodusB to MetroExodus

Go back to the Launcher, hit "Resume"

The Launcher will now "verify" your game files rather than resume a D/L

It will take about 10 minutes for that process, then you are good to go.

I also made a folder of my "Saves", found in W10 under "Users">your name>saved games.
I inserted it once I went in and out and the game was back to where I left off before I reinstalled my OS.
