Who makes the best DDR2 1066 memory? I'm not really worried about timings, but I'm wanting to get away from DDR 800 to get a little overclocking headroom if I can. I'm going to be stuffing it into an ASUS P5Q-Deluxe running a Q6600 G0. Right now I'm running G.Skill DDR2 800 Pi ram and I think I have a bad module that keeps giving me BSOD's at certain points.

TWIN2X4096-8500C5DF - 4GB (2x 2GB) Corsair Dominator DDR2 PC2-8500 (1066)

I have been using this with my set-up for the past year (see sig). My motherboard is from the same family. Zero problems (I don;t use the memory fans) although I generally ensured the memory did not run above 1190 when I was overclocking @ 3.2/3.4Ghz.

I have the same motherboard with an E7200. I use OCZ2P10662G at 1065. Easiest overclock I've ever done. Set bus to 354 MHz and put memory 3:2. It gives me 3.36 GHz.

In my previous ICFX3200 this ram took a lot of time to get working right with 3.4 GHz.

I used this for a while a bit ago and while pricey it never gave me problems even when pushed a little.

I'm not seeing price as a problem. However, do you guys know of any issues if I run 8 gigs of this memory in a p5q-deluxe? I'm also using KET's mBios 1406 for this board.

I really like my Fatal1ty 4GB kit. I have had no problems with it, I have not yet tried to overclock with it (need to get a new CPU and Mobo first), but as far as all around good memory I love it. I use it for photo and video editing as well as gaming and even though it's only 4GB it breezes through everything.

I've always been happy with gskill. I've rma'd crucial ballistix as well as ocz reapers. My first set of ddr2 1066 gskill pi's are still chugging away. And I've had three others since buying those (problem free).

I'll have to go and read up on these and make sure i make the right choice.
