Wow, and I thought I was a douchebag.

come on, no one is that stupid. Hes doing it for attention.
I didn't click the video. Just came here to read the responses.
Pretty sure that haircut was the 90'sI knew that fag was from Utah just by his stupid haircut.
Well yea, but his point disregards the fact that he's the one that's been laying rubber down and to him it has nothing to do with loss of traction. It's the car, not him. That's what makes him a snowflake. Also, if you want to get down to it, for him to realize that there was no traction in the snow, he had to ignore that fact before leaving the house which would mean the tool had already put his family in danger in the first place. This reminds me of the time when I was 16 and hanging with friends at the beach. My friends venerable mustard yellow Corolla's clutch cable had snapped and we were stranded. He called his dad who came out and swapped cars with us. While we road home in automatic tranny comfort, his dad drove the legendary mustard Corolla home clutchless. That's what Dads are supposed to do. Dad's are supposed to fix shit, not create it then pass the blame elsewhere.
lol I hope to never have to power shift again...heh, power shifting the hell out of that Corolla?

I'm curious how many miles is he driving in 8 months or is he just burning rubber everytime he takes off. The difference between front and back is pretty extreme for only 8 month old tires.
next video: BOUGHT A HELLCAT: I'M RETURNING IT! Every time I turn off traction control, the car is all over the road!
c'mon now....it's not a mustangnext video: BOUGHT A HELLCAT: I'M RETURNING IT! Every time I turn off traction control, the car is all over the road!
Holy crap guys. How many of you watched the whole video? Other than, yes, he should have been rotating the tires, he has good reasons for wanting to sell the Tesla. Also understand, not everyone is a motorhead. Basic maintenance, blah, blah blah - the fact of the matter is, I'd be willing to bet more drivers DON'T check their tire tread regularly than those who do.
Some facts from the video:
1. He's not asking Tesla to refund him for the car, nor is he going after them for any wrongdoing.
2. He's not blaming Tesla for any of these issues - he states it's just not the right car for his use case.
3. The tire wear was caused partly by him, which he admitted, but he also said other constructive things that everyone seems to be overlooking: a) he basically said the car had a lot of power, and for him (and likely many others), that's not a good thing - without discipline or practice, it's dangerous (you can't argue against that), and b) Tesla had a known issue with wheel sensors, which I'm reading between the lines was a traction control issue, and that would be more dangerous in conjunction with a). The sensor issue accelerated the wear on the rear tires.
4. Reasons he didn't like the Tesla: a) rear wheel drive which causes different handling characteristics and increased tire wear in the back (if you don't rotate as was mentioned in this thread),
b) preferred longer range,
c) front fascia could look dated and was hard to remove in one extreme case,
d) a sensor issue that took 8 months to fix,
e) it doesn't fit their family as well as another car could. Ok, fine, you can keep or get rid of something for whatever
reasons you want - what's so unreasonable about these issues?
5. He's not saying to avoid the car. He's just giving his opinion on it. Quote from the last part of the video: "I'm not saying don't get the 2012/2013, I'm just saying have a pause, make sure that it's the right car for you, and you're ready to live with the rear wheel drive and the lower battery range. If you're willing to deal with those things, go ahead and get it." Not everyone would want to drive a super car every day - is that a bad thing?
He wanted a Tesla. Most people I know do. He was in a financial position to go get one and try it, so he did. Wish I could say the same. It ended up not being the right fit for him, so he's moving on.
What is everyone so worked up about? Give it a rest. Also, by clicking his video and getting worked up about it, you're only helping him more.
While normally I live by the motto, never attribute to malice that which can be explained by ignorance. Either this guy is seriously ignorant or a genius. His views are skyrocketing and in a world of views matter, I'm sure hes making out like gang busters on ad revenue.
When the going got rough, he improvised to protect his family - they pulled off and got a hotel room until the weather got better. Not everyone thinks about everything involved with a car - they just don't. It's probably one of the reasons he was interested in a Tesla in the first place, reduced maintenance. I'm not disagreeing that it was a pretty bad oversight, but I don't get why him taking action and addressing the issue by ditching the car is a bad thing.
At any rate, I'm done. Think what you want.

This is what consumerism and new balance shoes does to a man. Probably tried to take it to Jiffy Lube after buying his new propane grill.
What a fucking retard.
An all-battery, 250+ miles per charge, and high torque car for him and his family?
Telsa ain't designed as a family car! What was he thinking in first place?
How do stupid people afford a Telsa???

Many do. Think about all the rich functionally retarded idiots who buy these things and know nothing about basic mechanical principles.
This is why I foresee tesla having a lot of issues with the model 3 and the volume of green idiots who think the car requires no maintenance and no basic level of care.
I also still don't see how these things are greener compared to a standard car. Those thousands of pounds of batteries won't last forever and have to be replaced with more.
They also don't consider the fact that many of the power plants that supply the electricity for charging aren't nuclear, but are coal / fuel powered.
