Terrible performance in Serious Sam 3 GTX 670 SLI

I'm getting horrible performance in with SLI enabled with my GTX 670, I'm getting a framerate of less than 30FPS most of the time, and both cards are at 100% usage, not to mention the VRAM is maxed out at 2000MB and texture flickering. However, if I disable SLI the game will run fine and I'm getting an average of 70FPS. Does anybody know how to fix this or is this game badly coded with multi GPU setups or an NVIDIA driver issue.
