TERA's turn to go F2P

i have 4 friends from my guild that still play tera. out of about 50 at launch.

That's sad. I started playing it this week. seems very fun for an mmo. I like that it's more of an action game.

I didn't like the quests. I never felt emotions for the characters in the story that I met. I loved the combat though.

Until you hit 60 and there's nothing to do but daily quests, Nexuses and the same instances.

yep. end game burns you out pretty quick.

i also quit about a week after the queen patch arrived. the BGs were lame (even being in the top 3 in points every time).

and doing the same two instances over and over again were boring. the game really needed open world pvp with resources to fight over. one of my guildies said this is actually coming to the game soon though.

This is the first step to make this game F2P - hiring a F2P specialist. Well I wouldn't pay for TERA as it's simply not worth it.

I bought the game over the summer. I absolutely loved the combat system, but I stopped playing in the low 30s. I simply got bored from not playing with anyone and it was starting to feel repetitive. However if this goes F2P I do see myself putting a few hours a week in anyway.

I hope other MMOs in the future do take on some of the fighting mechanics found in the game. Would make them that much better instead mashing my number buttons.

Really fun combat, really boring game otherwise. For free though I might consider playing it in my downtime between new games.
