Tape for slick mouse buttons?

Any suggestions for grip/texture tape or material that can be applied to slick mouse buttons?

I've got a Roccat mouse that is my favorite and is no longer made. The mouse buttons had a slight texture to them but are now smooth and shiny from use. I was thinking of applying small sections of grip tape but there might be something better.

Friction tape would work. You can get it at any hardware store or online ( https://www.amazon.com/Duck-393150-Friction-4-Inch-Single/dp/B0000CBIAT ).

the problem with that and most friction tape is " Sticky on both sides " so yes I think regular grip tape would be better or maybe something like this:

I actually ordered some "gun tape" from Amazon. It came in today but I've not put it on yet.

that's what the hexmag stuff I linked is for. should work good.
