*Tap Tap* This thing on?

What are you folding on?

If you are using GPUs, then F@H is a good choice as it's points and project is focused more on GPUs now. 33 is the team number still.

If it's CPUs, then may I recommend World Community Grid? We have a competition coming up on the 1st. Lasts till December 25th. To sign up and join the team just follow this link:
https://join.worldcommunitygrid.org?recruiterId=993628&teamId=BP5XNJBR9N1

Then download the BOINC software and start running it. WCG is CPU only. It also has a lot of cancer related projects. Smash Childhood Cancer and Mapping Cancer Markers are the two current cancer related projects running.

Too add to Skillz ..... WCG has two primary cancer research projects (They are only Cancer research). "Mapping Cancer Markers, AKA MCM" and "Smash Childhood Cancer, AKA SCC" .

well damn... you guys are quick!

I have a combo of CPU and GPU's I can throw at it.

Processors
  • 3x i7-5820K's
  • 1x E5-2609
  • 2x i7-6700k's
  • 1x i3-6100

GPU
  • 1x 1080ti
  • 1x 1080

while not a lot... my hardware is up all the time not doing much (according to VmWare, I'm less than 10% used)

Well I am not a big fan of F@H, but if that's your thing then by all means go for it. Those GPUs will add some decent computing power to F@H.

However, I am going to give a little nudge to move those CPUs you have to a CPU only Distributed Computing project because in my honest opinion I think they'd be more beneficial to those types of projects.
This is the link to sign up for our team as well as the project itself: https://join.worldcommunitygrid.org/?recruiterId=993628&teamId=BP5XNJBR9N1

If you're not dead set on F@H, [H] participates in BOINC projects that benefit from GPUs as well. One such project is called GPUGrid and can be located here: https://www.gpugrid.net/ I don't have a cool signup link for this project that automatically assigns you to our team so once you register you'll have to click join on the team page which is located here: https://www.gpugrid.net/team_display.php?teamid=799

Both GPUGrid and WCG run under the same program called the BOINC Manager. I can walk you through the setup on both of them if you need.

It's been a while since I ran F@H, but I believe their v7 client is still the latest client. Just install it and let her run. Disable the CPU if you wish to utilize those CPUs somewhere else.

Also, no matter where you run those CPUs make sure you leave a core dedicated to the GPUs. They need some CPU processing to do their GPU computing.

We would love to have you join our team.

Most everyone here is pretty cool and friendly.
