Taiwan based original design manufacturers (ODM) Quanta Computer and Wiwynn are considering a plan to bring back their production lines for server-use motherboards from China. This is because of a potential 10% extra tariff on $200 billion in goods from China due to the US-China trade war. Many Taiwan export items made in China are excluded from the sanctions, but the server-use motherboards for white-box servers will be affected.

To fulfill robust orders for cloud servers from international clients, Quanta will expand its production capacity by 30% at its plants in the US, Europe, and China, according to Mike Yang, vice president of Quanta's cloud business. Yang said that his company is beginning to study the feasibility of moving China production lines back to its existing plant complex in Linkuo, northern Taiwan.

Chill with the name calling please. This is a test to see if I can post more interesting news that is 100% tech related but has some political underpinnings. Don't be mean to one another. Please. ;)

Would probably start ww3

I'm sure the world would respond with the usual blather, but no one wants to risk sanctions from them. Imagine them cutting off our devices. The public would fold like a cheap umbrella within four weeks.

Would probably start ww3
Only the US has the appetite to start wars. It is also the only country that has no qualms launching nukes. The first part is based on recent history. The second part is based on we "have already done it". Not only once but twice. China taking over Taiwan will never be the reason.

This is why every country should absolutely have nukes. It is the only way to stop war and aggression.

Or finally invade?
Like this possible Chinese invasion of the US East Coast, perhaps?
US invaded by savage tick that sucks animals dry, spawns without mating

"H. longicornis is native to parts of East Asia, namely China, Japan, the former USSR, and Korea, living in meadows and grassy areas near forests. ...
In Asia, the longhorned tick is known to carry a variety of pathogens ...
Additionally, H. longicornis may harbor a newly emerging virus that causes SFTS, which is short for severe fever with thrombocytopenia syndrome. SFTS was first identified in China in 2009 and is marked by fever, vomiting, hemorrhaging, and organ failure. Reported fatality rates fall between 6 percent and 30 percent."

Did these nasty ticks come from China? They could have.
Were they introduced into to the US intentionally? Perhaps.

Be afraid. Be very afraid. Bwah ha ha ha ha!

See man they send the infected ticks in and its a zombie apocalypse!

Hehe, its working :) China will begin to pay for their decades of unfair trade practices & with all those people to feed, they will pay dearly. Maybe China will have their revolution and realize Socialism doesn't work. They are begining to run out of other peoples money.
