Taito Legends - Bubble Bobble

Ok so I noticed that Taito Legends just came out, and I'm a huge fan of bubble bobble. The thing is, I never played the arcade version, just the NES one. So I'm wondering, does anybody out there have this? How is it? I'm worried that if it's the arcade version they won't have the password system in, so you would always have to start from the beginning. Any info out there?

I have the import version; it's the arcade version and, yes, you have to start from scratch each time.

I have the Xbox US version and yes...you have to start from scratch every time.

Which is nerve-wracking because I continually get stuck on level 71.

Yeah, that's kind of a bummer though, I was thinking about getting it 'cuz it's something the gf and I could sit down and play periodically, and it would be way more fun if level skipping was possible.

you can level skip....you just have to get the umbrella.
