System monitoring with Grafana

I'm toying around with Grafana & Prometheus for system monitoring. I used Zabbix years back and wanted to try something fresh.

It runs on a virtual machine on one of my Pi's and watching the temps of the other Pi's boinc-ing.



There is also a boinc-monitor around I will have a look on the weekend.

We use Grafana quite a bit at work. Its on my loooong term plan for using with my pi cluster, but Kubernetes needs to come first, and before that I need to get network booting iscsi running. I really need to conjure more time in my day somehow...

combination of:
1) regular node_exporter
2) https://github.com/fahlke/raspberrypi_exporter
3) a modified version of https://github.com/CallMeFoxie/prometheus-boinc-exporter

This is already enough to retire the basic Linux screen with multiple boinc managers running at the same time together with remote shells showing temps.

And looks nice on the iPads too.

Love the scalability ... so easy to add one pi after the other ... once reach 20yrs badge in WCG I hope to find some time to also add FAH in Grafana.
