Hello All,

During Newegg's quick "save $30 off any item if you pay with PayPal" sale a week ago, I snagged a 480GB SanDisk Ultra II:

However, I already have a main boot drive in my Windows 7 desktop that is a Segate 600 Series 240GB, like this one:

I've had the Seagate running great for 2 years, but I am running it close to full capacity with my programs. I have two options now:

1) Leave my Windows install on the Seagate 240GB, use the SanDisk 480GB for programs.
2) Remove the Seagate 240GB, re-install Windows 7 and all programs on SanDisk 480GB.

The specs for the SanDisk look a little better:

SanDisk
Read/Write: 550/500 MB/s max
Read/Write: 98/83 KIOps

Seagate
Read/Write: 530/440 MB/s max
Read/Write: 80/70 KIOps

My question would be, would I see any difference between using the Seagate or SanDisk drive as a boot drive? I use it for my Steam library and PCB editing tools and OrCAD.

You'll probably never notice the difference between drives.

You have a 3rd option, clone you Windows install on the Seagate over to the Sandisk SSD.
