Is there any advantage to d/l'ing the 64bit version of linux to run on A64? Or just go with the plain old x86 version?

supposedly the code and compliers have been optimized to run on 64-bit processors, but if you start to mix 32-bit apps and 64-bit apps you might run into trouble. I know that this is the case with Debian amd64, but it could be different with SuSE.

Hmmmm, I can't find anything about on Suse's website. I guess to keep things simple I'll just get the regular version.

I just installed the free Linspire last week, now I kinda want to try a hardier version. It's been so long since I messed with linux, that I don't even remember how to compile/install packages and what not. If I can just get Folding@home, a bit torrent program going, and a dvd burning program going in Linspire I'll be happy for a few days while the 5 suse iso's are d/ling.
