I recently purchased SM server - http://www.supermicro.com/products/system/2U/6026/SYS-6026TT-HIBQRF.cfm?INF=

I have a bunch of 2.5" 15K SAS drives that I'd like to use in it. The existing trays only have provisions for mounting 3.5" drives. I've found some trays that hold 2.5" drives - http://www.ebay.com/itm/231764778934 but it looks like it would put the drive on the wrong side of the tray from where the connector is on the backplane.

Does anyone know if they will in fact work? Or is there another tray that will work?

We use those all the time, should work fine in any supermicro chassis with hot swap bays.

1. Install drive in tray label side up.
2. flip tray over and insert into server.

Yes, it does seem strange but that's the way it works.

Thanks for the info guys. Going to order a a dozen. That makes sense with installing them upside down. I just didn't want to buy a bunch and then be stuck with something I couldn't use.
