Super Talent Technology, a leading manufacturer of Flash storage solutions and DRAM memory modules, today announced a new line of TeraDrive SSDs designed specifically for high end enterprise and database server applications. “Super Talent has a solid track record of developing leading edge SSDs. Their new TeraDrive series, incorporating SandForce technology, is an impressive advance in enterprise storage,” commented Thad Omura, VP Marketing at SandForce Inc.

The new TeraDrive FT2 is a SATA 3Gbps SSD based on the advanced new SandForce SF-1500 SSD processor. It delivers sequential read and write speeds up to 250MB/sec that will not degrade over time. It also supports blazing fast transaction speeds up to 30,000 IOPS, making it a formidable storage solution for database servers where random read and write speeds are critical.

Super Talent makes good SSD drives? Really? I only thought the Intel X-25M and variants, and some OCZ drives (since they started making their own) were "leading". Good specs , but price?

    They're 50-200GB, despite the branding. :D

Supertalent uses the same controller as the OCZ vertex in many of their drives.

Why do all these SSD companies come around and slap a different label on the outside and call it better than the other brand when everyone is using the same parts on the inside?

So true. There might be handful of companies that actually make LCD panels. How many brands are there that sell them?

They are trying to sell SSDs to businesses thats what different not the drives.

Small businesses may do this but the places I work are big and we use shared storage (iSCSI or SAN).
