Suggestions for cheap $100 budget Point and Shoot

Wife wants to get a new point and shoot camera for my son who is really having a blast at 6 years old.

I would like to get him a camera, $100 budget (can not spend a penny higher), he may be 6 but hes extremely delicate with electronics and has a very sharp eye. Would like some help finding him a great camera for travel and whatnot.

Pretty sure any smart-phone from the past few years will out-perform a $100 P&S, but since it's for a small child, something easy to use and very rugged would be a good idea...

A brief amazon search turned up this Coleman C9WP, comes in a bunch of different colors for around $75, waterproof, rugged, 20 megapix, shoots 1080 video. For the price, I'd say it looks like it has a good chance of surviving use by a 6 year old.

& this Olympus looks to be the highest rated in this category, though doesn’t look quite as well ruggedized as the Coleman to me.
