as the title says looking for suggestions, I see the arctic cooling accelero s1 rev.2 is good but it looks huge. Plus there are no local suppliers for that product.

Not even etailer can ship one for you?

Cannot but recomend this Accelero S1, dropped my 4850 cards temps 40c all across the board, with 120mm fan that is.

Zallmans alternatives can be used also, but I really think Accelero S1 is the best aftermarket cooler out there for 4850. Too bad it does not exhaust heat off the case, and yeah its quite huge, but I can live with those facts. Sorry for non constructive post :(

Go to any online reseller and grab an Accelero S1. It is without a doubt the best bang for your buck cooler.

I'll back those claims up with the S1. It may be big, but it does the job better than anything else but a good water setup. You don't necesarily need a 120 on there, I have mine passive but it's right in line with the front case fan so it gets it's airflow from there.

well good news here, one of my local shops finally got the accelero s1 rev 2 in today!! I paired it up with a nice ac 120mm fan. Im installing tonight.

Thnx for the input guys!

you'll LOVE that cooler, and you won't even need to turn that 120 up much at all...could probably get away with 7v on it.

you can't x-fire with that thing though? I got a gfx chilla in hopes that it will work in x-fire. not sure if it will either but...

ive already done the sli thing in the past, single card solution ftw! the artic cooling 120mm fan is stated to run @1500 rpm, 53.5 cfm @ 24.5db. I think it will be fine.

Just go Sapphire Toxic HD4850 and get fast RAM and a decent cooler.
