What are some of the better gamepads out there right now? I have yet to go out and look at any, but was hoping for some suggestions. I play a little of everything so just a good all around one. Force Feedback isn't necessary. Also something that isn't going to break the bank. Thanks!

I'd buy the USB -> Xbox dongle and buy an S-Controller.

I second that, next to a Dualshock2, but with the Xbox you can simply make the USB-Xbox cable.

ps2 controller, enver tired x-box, too clumsy...

USB with Xbox Controller S, which is superior to even the PS2 pad with everything except for fighting games.

OR, if you just want something you can plug into your PC and use without having to worry about third-party drivers, or adapter parts, or odd configuration problems, Saitek makes a pretty good game pad. There is a wireless version, as well.

I have the Saitek non rumble version (for some reason I can't stand the rumble). It is pretty decent, but I wish the analog pads had more resistance. The top buttons feel cheap too, but otherwise it is $20.00 very well spent.

Everyone has their own personal prefrence. Just go somewhere where they have controllers out on display, mess around with them, and pick the one that you like the best.

Very true. That's what I'll probably do. Although, I didn't mind that Xbox controller when I used it last. Thanks for the suggestions. It will probably be a bit before I get one, but I know I want one. Sometimes I just can't get the keyboard the way I want it and I like using the gamepads.

here's a non-suggestion do NOT purchase the logitech dual-action gamepad its a piece of crap seriously it is..

i've been wanting to get an xbox-usb thing, but most of the sites i've seen look rather shady. where's a good site to order them from, that comes with a cd with working drivers and stuff too, or at least a download for them.

I got the SmartJoy PLUS adapter from LikSang to use with my Dual Shock 2 controller and it works great. I haven't had any problems with it, and the DS2 beats the pants off every PC specific gamepad there is.
