The bios will not detect any IDE drives on startup. If I go into the bios and hit auto detect, everything shows up, but when I restart they're all gone again. This is preventing me from booting from any ide drive, and I'm not sure of the cause of the problem. I can boot from a SATA drive, and all of my ide drives are detected and read perfectly fine in windows. I re-flashed the bios with the newest one, and that didn't fix the problem. Does anyone have any idea of what could be going wrong? It's not the battery, could it simply be a bad bios chip?
