Hi All: I just received my BenQ BL3200PT 32" monitor. Native resolution is 2560x1440. When I installed (using DVI input) it & right-clicked @ the desktop to change the res. It wouldn't go past 1920x1080 (my last setting with my LG 27" display) Tried everything & no-go. Also I couldn't get into my Catalyst Control Center.
I decided to start fresh & uninstall everything from AMD. D/L & installed new driver & all went well. Catalyst CC no problem getting into it. Here's the super strange thing. Went to change the res & again still only 1920x1080 max. But....My desktop res is in fact running @ 2560x1440! I can tell the difference. What the hell gives?
Another thing....I went to play a game (Heroes of Might & Magic VII) & tried to change to 2560x1440 & again max res available is 1920x1080. But again it's running @ 2K. I didn't even change the settings within the game.
This has never, ever happened to me. Oh....I have an older XFX HD 7870 (2GB) that allows 2560x1600 resolution. Can anyone tell what ghost has possesses my rig? Thanks for listening to my rant. I forgot to mention that Windows see my BenQ model # monitor.
