Straight vs angled laptop plug?

I'm curious if one is generally considered less stressful on the jack. It seems to me straight plugs have the benefit of pulling straight out of tripped over and yanked away, while the angled one has the benefit of putting less weight/stress on the jack.

Is this the consensus? Are AC jacks these days prone to breaking from normal weight sticking straight out? Sorta just curious. Thanks.

The main issue is that on cheaper laptops, there's no true physical reinforcement for jacks. They're rarely screwed in, instead they rely solely on solder to hold them in place. TERRIBLE design, solder is never meant to be used for physically strong connections.

Go right angled if you can get it IMO.

A straight connector applies more leverage when it's stressed.
